Times sure have changed. Going out to the movies have been replaced with evenings in front of a computer screen and the letter has given way to instant messager. What older generation blamed on MTV, we now have a new culprit, the internet. Namely user-generated content on platforms such as YouTube. To keep with the times and adapt to our technology-induced antisocialism, why not get together with a group of people and be antisocial, socially. Therein lies the beauty of YouTube Tuesday, a curated screening of online video content, starting in Brisbane this week at Lock and Load, West End.
The first screening is ‘April Foolies,’ a showcase of the weird and the wonderful, the strange and the saucy and is fully curated to ensure maximum viewing pleasure. None of this ‘what do we look up now?” crap, YouTube Tuesdays have a programmed onslaught of user-generated content to attack the senses. Team that with alcohol and I’m sure the content will be even more side splitting.
Originally spawning from Melbourne, FourThousand has brought YouTube Tuesdays to Brisbane with the help of Is Not Magazine and we will be offering up more of the finest vids the net has to offer each month.
