It seems strange that so many people ache for this thing called domestic bliss. The entire course of history, coupled with television shows like Desperate Housewives, would suggest to us that domesticity is less about bliss than it is about boredom, repressed desire, piles of dirty underwear and a gradual appreciation of television personalities such as Kerri-Anne Kennerly.
But if domestic bliss was anything like this performance by theatre troupe Quiche Lorraine, we’d sign ourselves up for life, without asking for a pre-nup. Because this commitment phobia of ours does not extend to incredible stage performances using acrobatics, dance, physical theatre and live music coming together to lament upon domestic repression. Also, the actors are all really good looking and wear these cute post-war outfits, which as we all know does actually make domestic life heaps easier to deal with.
