Let's face it: you really can't get a beer for under 5 bucks these days, even if it is a XXXX. It's time to experience the XXXX Brewery Tour. Here you can learn the history of that cheeky winking drunk ol' XXXX man and get four brews included!
There are all kind of interactive learning stations: creepy machine operated simulations, things that go pop. You can watch bottles being labelled and taste test hopps. It sure gives Dreamworld a run for it's money.
In approximately an hour and fifteen minutes you'll have learnt everything there is to know about the Milton XXXX Brewery. You will also have gotten used to that distinctive ‘yes, we're brewing beer here' smell, and can then toast to that very beer with a new found understanding for every golden drop (four times). Yep, to reiterate: you get four beers at the end of your journey (we told you it was a bargain).
The Ale house also stocks a special beer that is not sold commercially - well it used to be back in the seventies but now they keep it under lock and chain. Called XXX (yes, triple x), we are still trying to figure out why they don't stock it everywhere as it tastes so much better.
Some wonders never cease. If you have a curious bud, then the tour is well worth it - if only to get some of that mysterious 'XXX' brew.
