All this rain in Brisbane lately has been making a lot of people accidentally turn into Robert Smith from The Cure. The residents of this town have been trying in vain to look after their personal appearances, but you know, when they're getting drenched in rain, waiting for the traffic lights on Brunswick Street to turn green, it’s hard to keep your hair from going wild, your lipstick from getting smudged, and your mascara from running huge black clumps down your cheeks.
Instead of getting all emo depressed about it (Remember, Robert Smith was the first to tell us that 'Boys Don't Cry') embrace it. Use your new gloomy appearances to your advantage and head on down to The Cure Goth Party at the Globe tonight.
The Cure have been making music for thirty-one years, and you can expect to hear an impressive catalogue of their hits. Watch hours and hours of The Cure film clips in the cinema, or go nuts dancing in the foyer. Getting bigger and sleeker and wider and brighter, we'll bite and scratch and scream all night, let's go and throw all the songs we know…
