What:
Temomin Japanese Massage (strangely not ten-o-min as I always thought it was called, on account of the average massage time).

When:
Hours vary per store. Details here.
How Much:
Starting at $10 for 10 mins (students), $13 for adults.
We young people lead stressful lives. Updating our facebook statuses, waiting for that new FOTC episode to download, twittering frantically... Naturally, all that time bent over a computer means havoc for our backs, and - if my $75/hr physio taught me anything - the only way to combat a life of inevitable pain and humpbackedness is to get up every ten minutes, do regular complex stretches, and stickytape a list of neck exercises to the side of your laptop/car dashboard. Like most normal people, I chose to ignore that advice and take the easy (and significantly cheaper) way out: temomin.
Temomin is a little sanctuary of calm and renewal smack bang in the middle of our city's busiest precincts. They specialise in quick and easy massage - no oils or nudity, unless you really want it - and, in only one ten minute session, can knead and dig all your stresses away with their clever little hands.
Yep, it's the sort of place designed for a life on the run: where you can simply walk in in the middle of a busy day and take a quick break to relax and refresh with almost no harm to your time, dignity or wallet.
At only $10-$13 a pop, you'll be feeling less stressed already.

FourThousand is a subcultural guide to Brisbane, published daily and fired by email weekly. It is compiled by an amorphous gaggle of Brisbane writers, stylists, designers and photographers who all like huddling under that big umbrella we like to call creativity. Without editorial independence FourThousand has nothing. All editorial you read is featured because it's worth it - not because it's paid for.
