Have you ever thought about how much it would suck to be homeless? To actually have no home at all? Most of us are lucky enough to never have to experience sleeping on the streets, but there’s a scary amount of people – especially young people – who have to deal with it every single day.
Luckily there are awesome organisations like Brisbane Youth Service out there, quietly doing their thing to take care of young people on the streets. Actually, BYS have been doing it for thirty years this year, which is probably longer than most of you have been alive. So they figured that was a pretty good excuse to put on one hell of a block party!
Come on down to Church Street in Fortitude Valley on Saturday between midday and 6pm for live bands, hip hop, DJ’ing, dancing, workshops, resources and more. Everything is free, even the food.
