Thrill The World
At 4:00 on Sunday morning a bunch of crazy mother uckers, in full costume, will join others around the world to dance the Thriller dance simultaneously. How many mother uckers? Too many to count, mother uckers. Except someone will be counting, because this is a world record attempt.
It's not too late to join them either, just check out the instructional videos on the site or YouTube, and head to along to the dress rehearsal tonight at the Powerhouse.
Laser Force
Remember when you were five and Laser Force was this cool new thing, possibly the most amazing thing you had ever heard of. You wanted to go so badly but Mum said no, you were too young, and then your older brother went for his friend Craig's birthday and he like, totally kicked ass and like, shot everyone and he got this cool membership card and he was soooo going to go again next chance he got, and you were bummed, really bummed.
Redcliffe Kitefest 2008
Wanna get high this weekend? Or would you rather hoist a bit of fabric bound together with nylon and hollow plastic tubing into the air? We know what we'd choose. (Both.)
This Saturday and Sunday sees the running of the annual Kitefest at Redcliffe, and by golly is it going to be a cracker! Due to the ever-increasing interest in kite flying, only a small handful of kite-fliers (kitists? kiters? kiteophiles?) have been personally invited to fly at this year's event.

The heady mix of aromas makes this festival worth the entry price alone (souvlaki + honey puffs + haloumi = best ever).
International Skull Drawing Competition: Call For Entries
It's time to bring out your dead. Rise and Fall have just announced the inaugural International Skull Drawing Competition.With no million dollar platinum or diamonds, and certainly no excuses,the competition requires artists to simply submit their own black andwhite, A4 (297 x 210), skull creations to be judged by a panel andeventually exhibited in the lift/stairwell/rooftop of Curtin House in Melbourne.

Watch out ladies, the Arizona one-man band enigma returns to Australia for his second time this year. With a love for all things female and alcohol, this whiskey-fuelled madman will tear up the Troubadour with sounds more guttural, more raucous than you are likely to have heard before.
