Some folks are all 'wood hint' this and 'berry flavour' that, but most folks, to be honest, can't really tell the difference between Pierre-Jouét and Passion Pop (ok so maybe not passion pop, but at least Yellowglen).
Like this one guy at a twenty-first I went to at Sirromet once - Pepe LeSpew. It was a classy affair but it still had the trappings of any good twenty-first party (at least in my opinion): copious amounts of cheese and wine. While most savoured the wine in sophisticated moderation, some of my mate's preppy Young Liberal friends decided to get loose. This was all well and good except for Poor Pepe who decided to upchuck on the bus home.
Please don't let the upchuck put you off. If you don't fancy the bus, why not grab the Patsy to your Eddie and do an intimate winery tour through the cellars and rolling hills? ‘Cause as they showed in that episode of Ab Fab, you certainly don't need to know which bottle is which to have a good time.
Ambience: Road Trip

FourThousand is a subcultural guide to Brisbane, published daily and fired by email weekly. It is compiled by an amorphous gaggle of Brisbane writers, stylists, designers and photographers who all like huddling under that big umbrella we like to call creativity. Without editorial independence FourThousand has nothing. All editorial you read is featured because it's worth it - not because it's paid for.
