A whole lotta cool shit goes down at Ithaca Pool. The couple who lease and run the pool have a kinda Copacabana thing going on, with smooth tunes playing on Sunday arvo and a general inner-city-oasis vibe going on the rest of the time. For serious goggles and cap type swimmers, rest assured there is still at least two fast lanes for pulling those laps. At 25m in length you might even feel like you're achieving more.

Moderation is the key though isn't it? So maybe get your cardio, splurge on an icy-pole, then layback and soak up some sun on the poolside deck chairs. Back to the going down of the cool shit, Ithaca has held some rather amazing gigs in its time - there was the Wolfgang all ages show for Matt & Kim that got rained out but ended up being held in the ladies bathroom.

They've also hosted San Francisco band Still Flyin' (who are playing Laneway in January), plus a handful of local bands too - I'm pretty sure The Bell Divers and Roman History have played there a few times. Oh Ithaca, I'm willing to go out on wet limb here and say you're the best darn public in the whole of Brisbane!
