Founded by Klein Dytham Architects in Tokyo in 2003, Pecha Kucha (Japanese for 'the sound of conversation') came along and answered our prayers; bringing us a forum in which creative work can be easily and informally shown. Plus, you get to go on stage and talk about yourself and your work... it's a total nerve-racking-ego-boost orgasm.
Pecha Kucha spread internationally to over 80 cities and thanks to some smart, creative and good looking Brisbane folk, we have Pecha Kucha too! ‘Cause we're friken awesome, speaking of 'friken', tonight you catch rock photographer and Le Friken Hecks star Dane Beesley, Map Magazine editor Mikki Brammer, jeweller Anna Varendorff and artist Jemima Wyamn, along with a bunch of other handpicked creative types. Get there early for a couch spot.
