Hip-hip-hooray, it's your birthday! ... Que candle blowing, cake cutting and cheering all round, and then some snotty-nosed kid starts with the ‘happy birthday to you, you're one hundred and two, you look like a monkey and you smell like one too...' Yeh, good one mate. (Then again, you can only get that one in once a year).
Lick It, on the other hand has been going strong with puns of fun every month for the past two years! That pretty much is one hundred and two in club night years. But they don't look a day over 50 those boys. To celebrate this coming of age, they are throwing a double-headliner bash, fresh from NYC, the boys bring you DJs Tim Sweeney (DFA/ Beats In Space) and Cousin Cole (who, btw does a rad remix of Bruce Springsteen's I'm On Fire) along with a barrage of usual suspects: Tim Fuchs, Jimmy2sox, Labyboy, Charlie Why!, Steve T, Keiron C, Jimmy Underpants, Wolfgang DJs, Fashion (with a gun), We Are You! and Christopher Robin DJs.
A punch-drunk-love toast must be made to Lick It for bringing Disco and getting loose on a Friday night back in style.
