This blowout has free tipples, NY Slice with silver service, a pop-up shop with designer threads at discount prices, a fixed gear bike show, live graff artistes and bangin' party tunes - all for only 5 clams entry. Whoa, whoa, whoa - hang on a minute here. Let us explain who Grand Scheme is and why they's be partying this Saturday night. There has to be some rational explanation for why you can shop, eat, drink, dance and generally be entertained - all at the same time. Well, you can forget rational, ‘cause streetwear this hot has gotta have a touch of crazy.' Grand Scheme is (and I quote) ‘an independent arts and lifestyle label founded by renowned Graffiti artist Jimmy Bligs.' Our man Jimmy is now ready to launch the latest collection (hence the party). An added treat is that part of Jimmy's vision is to collaborate with other artists in producing particularly exclusive pieces; the first of these limited edition prints is a doozy from Lister, of which there are only 15 - get in quick!
OK, so as for the sale component: the new collection is going to be half off from 7-9pm. Yep! They're talking $800 leather jackets down to $400. Selvage denim $100. Tees $35. I could go on... and will, but only to mention the musical talent: Bump'n'grind to The Optimen, Wolfgang DJs, Sure Cut Kids, Charlie Hustle and live drums from Dr Rhythm.
It's going to be premium.
