Miss Posh Poodle we found you! If you too noticed Miss Posh Poodle's shopfront on Latrobe Tce had been abandoned, you'll be happy to know we're reporting her found at the soon to be opened Woolloongabba Antique Centre and you have sisters Sarah and Megan to thank. These two mad-for-the-vintage gals are about to have you embarking on an antique experience like no other. It's a long story, but these ladies know their Art Deco from their L'Art Nouveau and they've dusted it all off and are giving it to you under one 1500sqm roof (that's the biggest in Brisbane ma'am).
The sisters ethos is simple: presenting collectables from the past in a modern setting - oh yes, come summer you'll be begging them to let you live in this air-conditioned palace, with it's fancy Italian style espresso bar and ample parking space. If it's good enough for Miss Posh Poodle, it's good enough for me.
You can bring back the days where men sported safari suits with a comb in their top pocket and women wore Jackie Onassis sunglasses with a maxi skirt. I'm chomping at the bit to saunter through this epic barn of wonderment, playing dress-ups and convincing myself that life would be complete if I had my very own hamburger phone and circa 1920's French escritoire to place it on.

FourThousand is a subcultural guide to Brisbane, published daily and fired by email weekly. It is compiled by an amorphous gaggle of Brisbane writers, stylists, designers and photographers who all like huddling under that big umbrella we like to call creativity. Without editorial independence FourThousand has nothing. All editorial you read is featured because it's worth it - not because it's paid for.
