Well the winter sales are here, and where better to head than the quaint-cottaged streets of our very own little nook of urban cool: Paddington? Specialty stores, op-shops and cafes, there's no doubt it's a much better – and more relaxing way to spend your time/money than fighting through the rummage bins of the Myer stocktake sale.
Side Street is just one of the many great clothing stores than adorn Paddington's main haunt. The store stocks all the suitably hot Australian designers – including Finetti and Jessie Hill, along with some more affordable brands and a gorgeous range of print scarves and curious accessories. If it’s a sunny day (and lets face it - the odds are high) it'll feel just like summer '08 all over again (if you just pretend).
