With Orientation Week all but over, it is time to start doing some serious thinking about how you are going to:
a) procrastinate like hell until week 11 when you realise you know nothing in any of your courses and begin cramming or
b) (legally) keep yourself buzzed enough to get through all the reading and course work you need to do this semester.
Regardless of your option QUT Student Guild provides the goods. Over on Kelvin Grove campus (yes the old part, not the swanky new Creative Industries precinct) you will find the Guild Lolly Shop. This on-campus institution is the very backbone of the Student Guild itself. It honourably provides the student populous with a much-needed source of sweets to last you through even the most tedious of lectures.
Go in there. Get an assortment of choc honeycombs, snakes, minities, jaffas, sour lollies and jubes. Say hello to the manager Luke. You probably won’t get any lollies for free, but it will be fun to see him wonder why everyone knows who he is.
