GoMA really is the best thing to happen in Brisbane, culturally, since Lord Mayor Jim Soorley left the office. If you’re looking for a gift or simply rewarding yourself for having never voted for ol’ mate Jim in the first place, then the Gallery Store Modern is the place to find all your culturally explicit novelty and educational resources. 100’s upon 100’s of art titles on everything from doodling to typography, and just about every other artist / art movement to date.
You’ll also find a range of quality fashion magazines, DVDs, ceramics, jewellery, moleskins and a range of other expensive, ridiculous must-have items. Plus, you’ll feel really sophisticated wandering home with your fancy Gallery Store brown paper bag. So contemporary. So Brisbane. Show-off.
