Brisbane has its cool pants on again this week, with the launch of our third Mercedes-Benz Brisbane Fashion Week. The champagne is flowing, the glitterati are out in force - but don't let this put you off completely. Fashion Week is also serving up a side dish of sweet activities for us plebs as well.
Check out the program for details of remaining events, but we've had a little looksies for you already and think by far the best on offer is QUT's Fabric Swap. With $6.50 gaining you a golden ticket into the event, it's then a simple game of trade: one metre for one metre. First in, best dressed. (Literally).
If you're interested in attending, your fabric must be clean, folded or rolled, with the length clearly tagged. Oh, and it also must be quality - anything antique, vintage, collectible or unusual. But before you go crazy also remember: it's a max of 25 metres per person. Still, that's a lot of fabric for you to get your creative little hands on...
