Well summer seems to have stickily, unpleasantly arrived these last few weeks and the winter clothes have been put to bed for yet another year. Despite the relentless heat and crippling humidity, some cooler-than-thou kids manage to maintain their sleek look and perfectly sculpted hair right throughout the hotter months, and we think you'll find quite a few of this special species at APARTMENT.
Retro Metro
Paddington is a suburb as renowned for its vintage shopping as its cafes, bookshops and parades of SUVs. Sure, there's the usual clusters of op-shops and antique stores (still always worth a visit), but if you want to bypass the digging and head straight for the treasure then Retro Metro is your best bet.
Princess Polly
Adelaide Street has changed a lot in recent years.
For one, there's that cavernous new King George Square bus station that seemed to materialise out of nowhere; while the other end is a growing hub of high-end fashion outlets and swish shopping centres. One place that has stood its ground, however, is our little neighbourhood friend Princess Polly.
Note to Self
There is simply nothing you can’t do online these days. I’m looking forward to never having to leave my house ever again! Wait, that plan is ridiculously flawed – who’s going see my Note to Self jeans? I may have co-designed these babies online, but they deserve to be taken to the outside.

For many of us, op-shopping is one of life's simplest (and greatest) pleasures. Not only is your money going to a good cause, but also you can come home with box-loads of treasures without even breaking a note. You can find yourself that amazing vintage dress or tee that fits perfectly though accompanied by a one-digit price tag.

In case you haven't noticed, little old Brisbane town has gotten a lot cooler lately. And no, it's not the autumn chill in the air, it's the eagerness with which Australia's biggest fashion players are setting up their stores here and declaring us Brisbanites hip enough to shop in them.
