"If you think dressing ethically means channelling Neil from the Young Ones, think again. Sustainable style never looked so good."
This is the ethos of Peppermint: the new Brisbane-based fashion mag with a refreshingly green focus. Sure, we may be in an era where it's increasingly 'hip to be green', but Peppermint is about much more than just window-dressing environmental concern. Sustainability and ethical-awareness really is at heart, with creator Kelley Sheenan recognising our precarious planetary situation and endeavouring to bring us the best of conscious clothing, accessories, art work, and articles from Australia and the world.
As we all know by now, eco-friendly definitely no longer equates to unfashionable, and Peppermint is just one testament to this. Just some of the standouts from this issue include Skin and Threads, Katherine Hamnett, Threads for Thought and Lark.
All in all this is a very fresh, classy and well-designed magazine, with stunning photography and articles that are actually worth reading. Hurry in and pick up the first issue FREE from Bovintage, The Region, Retro Metro and more.
