Like Hemmingway and his daiquiri, collaborative efforts generally involve violent heartache, breathtaking beauty and copious amounts of alcohol. Midnight Morning is no different. These art-nouveau-graphic-novel-Hello-Kitty-inspired illustrations are an expression of three Sydney-based illustrators' temperamental journey of love and devastation.

In fact, this illegitimate love child of Matt Huynh, Haline Ly and Will Loeng will bring Lolita-like impropriety into the hearts of any art lover - Midnight Morning is a visual ditty full of whimsy and a great perve, mixed with the kind of wham you'd expect from Samurai Pizza Cats.

Of course, Midnight Morning is no Old Man And The Sea, but if, hypothetically, Huynh, Ly and Loeng were to fall into a permanent state of inebriation, a cocktail should more than rightly be named after them. Midnight Morning Martini, anyone?
