Look At This Fucking Hipster
As we head deeper into this whole dire recession black hole thing, sometimes it's good to remind ourselves that smartass blog geeks are as stable a stock as ever. LATFH is a tumblr gem brand new on the scene, and whilst another Australian e-mag which we will not name may have attempted to lay claim to the scoop, we're here to remind you that the internet is about the democratisation of information, and dammit, we want to look at those fucking hipsters too!
That's actually the name of the blog, in case you missed it in the heading. The concept is quite self-explanatory: bloggers post pictures of ‘fucking hipsters' either captured themselves or sent in by readers, and add witty captions appropriate to the nature/actions/attire of the fucking hipster being exhibited. One of the beauties of this blog - besides the joy of laughing at people you don't know and will never meet (excluding similar versions you may have sortakinda seen wandering around your own city streets/art galleries) - is that the majority of the pics are obviously cheeky camera phone snaps taken on the street or train... You know, in that moment when you see the guy in the pink lurex tights sitting at a cafe and smile quietly to yourself, wishing there was someone there to share it...
Well now there is. The whole global community in fact. Aim, click, snap, send. And who said camera phones were an invasion to privacy?
