Sometimes I wish I could be six feet tall and walk around in leather leotards and coloured tights, with mega pumps, feather lashes and hot pink make-up adorning my eyes and cheeks. This is what happens on the pages of Karen, and life seems a whole lot funner there. How could it not be; dressed half like a flamingo and skipping luxuriously through palaces of mirrors and cushions?
This stylish glossy from the fashionable peeps of New Zealand is one of the most good-looking alternative fashion mags around. Each page is a visual delight with amazingly creative contours, colours and couture, and photo shoots that dare to step outside the usual 'wistful model in the woods' scenario. Oh, and unlike most fashion mags, it features a nice little offering of male models for our browsing pleasure as well. Bowl cuts never looked so good.
Most importantly, the current issue also includes my former schoolfriend and one of the 'hot Aussie models of the moment,' Stephanie Carta; so check out her sizzling looks on pages 118-126 and wonder why the hell my grade 10 boyfriend chose me over her...
