In case you missed the Alibi Room launch party last Friday (think costumes, chaos and a whole lot of cocktails) do not despair: the quirky mag that leant its name to the event – Duke – is still yours to purchase! For the uninitiated, Duke is a decidedly tongue-in-cheek pop culture, fashion and arts magazine. Its chic-meets-street approach includes a variety of celeb spoofs, cheeky articles and fake ads, and – yes ladies - even boasts its own scantily-clad male centrefold every issue.
We won't give too much away about issue quatro (4) except to say you may be pleasantly surprised by the uniquely-sexy combination of faux leopard fur and neon nail polish. The good news is, unlike your other mags, Duke is still so underground its copies can be well and truly considered collectibles. You'll be the coolest kid on the bus for sure.
Pick up this tasty little morsel of subversive pop culture at The Outpost or GoMA Store.
