We all love to eat at Christmas, but what about the 364 days afterwards? We can't live on leftover prawns and potato salad forever (as good as they might be up until about December 27). But when the merriment wears off and the reality sets in and all our post-Christmas bank accounts are looking pretty dire, the good news is that we don't have to stoop to stalking the kid with the ‘Reduced-To-Clear' sticker gun around Coles anymore. Thanks to Mei Yen Chua and her second edition of must-have local dining guide Brisbane's Budget Bites, we can eat well and affordably all year round.
For anyone who missed the first edition, BBB is a thoroughly-researched and very user-friendly guide to Brisbane's (and now the Gold Coast's) best hidden and best value restaurants and cafes. All the venues featured have mains for under $20 - usually less - and have been tried and tested by Mei Yen and her team of foodies.
A great little Christmas gift for anyone who enjoys discovering new eats and treats.
