In the past, Brisbanites have been considered somewhat behind the eight ball in terms of fashion (for proof, check out photos of your parents circa Expo 88). But things have changed. Those who live here know we've got enough style to rival the coolest cities in the world. Paris, New York, etc - you've got nothing on us. And now there's a website that's gonna prove it.
Taking a cue from online street fashion sites like Paris's Facehunter, New York's Sartorialist and Finland's Hel Looks, Matt Randall noticed that Australia lacked a significant presence in the online street-style stakes. To tip the scales a little in our favour, he's dedicated himself and created a website for the unearthing of Brisbane's most stylish pedestrians.
thepavementforum.com aims to capture current fashion trends and those accomplished, innovative and eccentric looks that can be seen on Australian streets. And he's dedicated - even discovering fashion talent in Stanthorpe of all places.
