Has the world gone foodie-mad? Everyone wants to be the next Jamie Oliver/Nigella Lawson or Gordon ‘the f word’ Ramsey (p.s Ramsey you’re not hot and you need to wash your mouth out). If you do get-off on Ramsey and the rest of them - then this is the movie for you, you cockney loving swine.
The movie: enter Jésus Almagro (wait - sorry, not cockney) winner of Spain’s top cooking award, he decides to take on the chefs of the world by competing for the prestigious Bocuse d’Or in Lyon (France). Bigger than a triple-le-cheese-burger, this is the Olympics of food. The film is a documentary about the months of trial and error as Jésus attempts to perfect three dishes using the nominated ingredients: Norwegian halibut, French chicken from Bresse, and Norwegian royal crab.
On the big day the challenge is to prepare two dishes from scratch in five hours in unfamiliar surrounds and in front of a boisterous crowd. Dubbed as ‘gastronomic thriller’ this doco will have you jumping out of your seats and licking your lips faster than Gordon Ramsey can say the f word (wanker).
