This split 7" features greatly influential New Zealand band The Bats (who've released over 20 recordings and been kicking around long before most of you were born) and Sydney based foursome, Songs. The Bats offer two new tracks; one an excerpt from their new album The Guilty Office and the other, an unreleased track from the same recording. As for Songs, who (btw) recently supported Deerhunter, they bring us an acoustic version of ‘Keeping It Clean' from their debut self titled EP and a new track called ‘My Number'.
This record is truly a keepsake union of two great bands of our time. Put this record on, make yourself a g&t and find a balcony with a good view and a nice patch of sun. Put your feet up and let the rays reflect off your shades. You never felt so at ease.
