South Bank will play host to a bevy of Brisbane's hottest up-and-coming student designers this weekend as part of the third installment of the South Bank Young Designers' Market. Academy of Design graduate Amelia Duncombe is one young talent excited to be part of the market showcase. "The Brisbane fashion scene has undergone a transformation in the last few years and [SBYDM] is a clear indication that Queensland is moving full steam ahead," says Duncombe, who this Sunday looks forward to showcasing her collection of street wear. "The potential you have as a qualified designer is only as limited as your imagination and now budding designers have an outlet to share their ideas with the wider community."
Other future fashionistas include colleagues from the Academy of Design as well as students and graduates from QUT, Metropolitan South Institute of TAFE, and Queensland College of Art. SBYDM will include over 40 stalls of clothing, accessories, homewares and art, so don't miss out on checking out Brisbane's best emerging designers – and while they're still affordable!
