I first visited Rowan Sable last weekend whilst on a little shopping trip/interview with the lovely Lisa Mitchell (yes, I am just that important that I get to hang out with cute lil' music celebs all the time). After a requisite stop at Mod Cons (giant glitter bouncy balls: OMG), we were passing by the store and Lisa suggested we go in. Naturally, I wasn't going to say no...

Rowan Sable is the sort of shop I have admired from afar for some time, but always assumed neither I - nor my budget - would be welcome inside its doors. Well, I'll be the first to admit I was wrong. Inside Rowan Sable lies a delightful world - origami flowers bloom from the ceiling, secret corners burst with collage, and employees flutter by with neither harrassment nor intimidation. Granted, their clothes may be on the pricey side of things, but for quality designer wares Rowan Sable certainly deliver delectability for your dollar with their savvy cuts, delicate design, and embellishment of fabric roses in both clothing and accessory form.

Beautiful handmade jewellery runs through the middle of the store, while shelves of candles and perfume seduce you with their amazing nostalgic scents, like Splice ice-creams and grandparents' gardens. Read about the lovely history of the store and label here, and see how some kids who hit the dress up box have just got it from the get-go...
