Much like his previous band Sidewinder, Nick Craft uses wall-of-sound sonics, distorted guitars and more of that lovely stuff that made his former cult act Australia's answer to My Bloody Valentine. Craft's voice floats between that of Morrissey and McLennan while instrumentally the feedback and reverb hit at different points across the album, most strongly in 'Back In Your Arms' and glorious album closer 'Where Were You On The Weekend'.

Even though the music really doesn't have much of that 'modern' edge that artists such as Au and Deerhunter produce (I don't care what you elitists say, even derivative acts can augment an original sound), the sheer experience and influence that Craft has had musically negates the lack of a real contemporary feel. Besides, the music The Zillions creates harks back to the glory days of '90s reverb-drenched alt-rock perfectly, and with Craft behind the creative wheel it's easy to understand why.

With the recent resurgence of music of this style, The Zillions are in a prime position to take over the scene, so start growing out your hair, gazing at your shoes and swaying to the wave of sound headed your way.
