PAP SPEARS is a themed exhibition curated by Mariam Arcilla and lovingly features emerging artists Sue Dodd, Mari Hirata, Anthony Lister, Alasdair Macintyre, Daniel Mc Kewen, Sebastian Moody, Archie Moore, David Spooner and Jemima Wyman.
If you're game to make the trip to the Very GC, on this very spooky night, then you'll be in for more than a fright as Karen 19 turns into celebrity-style gala. All the GC arty-farties will be dressed in Hollywood style Halloween - so don't forget your Marilyn / Bogart look-alike outfit. It's so not like the coast to vamp it up like this...
The exhibition very cleverly explores the relationship between modern day celebrities and the public, but in a far less obvious sense than when Paris Hilton flashed her woo-wha to us. With the stellar line-up of popular artists, the pap(azzari) will be all over it. I can almost guarantee you, it'll touch you (on a visual level) even more personally than its title suggests.
