Dane Beesley is one of those Brisbane anomalies. A man after your own heart, living through the lens Dane went in search of that darn big apple in New York City. Taking a bite big enough to break your jaw, he has returned home with a pocket full of used film and some livin' on the edge stories to tell. New York Buck is your chance to taste the fruits of Dane's experience.
Through contacts at Rolling Stone Dane got on a mailing list that had him partying and snapping pics all the way from Brooklyn to the Upper West Side. You won't see his party pics with Karen O - but that happened. You won't see his party pics with friends The Lemonheads - but he and Dando got pretty loose. You won't see his shoulder rubbin' pics with New York Dolls - but they're tight.
With fun times, comes stretched funds. We ought to be thankful to witness the collection because it came between them, a Subway sandwich or not spending the night in a garden bed in Central Park. Good thing Dane says people in New York are actually really friendly aye!
