If you’re like us, then you’ve probably thought to yourself heaps of times during your life, "Gee, I wish someone would develop a useful online resource which mapped every single public toilet in Australia, including their exact GPS locations, unique facilities and opening hours." Thankfully the Australian Federal Government’s 'National Continence Management Strategy' has picked up on our subconscious desires, and has constructed this elegant online portal of usefulness, otherwise known as the National Public Toilet Map.

All you’ve gotta do is plug in your postcode, and up pops a handy map, showing exact location, opening hours, whether it’s accessible for those in a wheelchair, what year the toilet was installed, and when any renovations may have taken place. For example, when we typed in New Farm, the National Toilet Map showed us that there are three public toilets in New Farm Park. More specifically it told me that one of the toilets was installed in 1972, was refurbished in 2000, and is open during daylight hours only.

But if you ever find yourself in a bowel-busting emergency and can’t get to the Internet, then by all means call the National Toilet Helpline. And no, we’re not encouraging you to prank call. Not at all. Seriously, we’re not.
