Is it a cliché that springtime should have me obsessing over the finches and the bees, is it completely predictable that I should be feeling all femme and fickle, are my urges to sit around at home all day baking cupcakes and double-strawing ice cream sodas entirely counter-productive?
If you just rolled your eyes and said "Man, that chick has an incurable case of sweetopia" you'd be right. Problem is, for all of my big talk about being a cupcake queen; I can't make cupcakes taste anywhere near as good as this. For one thing, I can never get the ratio of sugar to butter quite right. And not only couldn't I be assed sculpting cute flowers, ladybugs or teddybears out of icing sugar, I wouldn't have a clue how.
Luckily I discovered this adorable cupcake café in South Bank a few days ago. Even though it's only been opened a couple of weeks, they seem to have the recipe for perfect cupcakes, chocolates, biscuits and coffee down pat. Basically they're so delicious that I'm going to buy ‘em in bulk every Monday, lock ‘em in the cupboard, and offer ‘em nonchalantly when pals drop by for milkshakes.
