Description:
Stage-to-film pieces can either shine or crash and burn. Fortunately for Kommer, director Liesbeth Gritter has created a show that very much shines and is guaranteed to delight fans of humour-in-the-face-of-tragedy style productions. The piece follows six individuals who as a group receive terrible news. They act out their emotions around each other before transitioning into separate films that trace each person's individual reaction and feelings towards the event. While the performance may not sound terribly comical, FourThousand can guarantee you that it's schlock melodramatic prose, witty banter and straight-up slapstick that will put a smile on your face. These are the final two nights of this much-anticipated Dutch performance, with the previous performances reaching near capacity, so if you're interested, make haste!
