There is so much poverty in the world. We all know that. But all the poverty-reducing campaigns around the place want your money, weekly, automatically, for a campaign that you will never see the results of. For many people this stops you from taking an active approach to responding to these kinds of issues.

But what if there was something you could do much closer to home; something for the homeless here in our own city? And what if all you had to do was share a meal with like-minded people?

That's the concept of Global Banquet; a buffet-style banquet. Come and experience the real affect of poverty and share a meal. All proceeds go towards a bbq for Brisbane's homeless later in the year.
