There are a lot of talented designers coming out of Brisbane at the moment, but when it comes to jewellery, Chrissa Alexion is definitely ahead of the pack. All her pieces are handmade and designed to perfection, compiled from a mixture of modern and vintage beads, charms and fittings.
You'll find German cameo lockets, charming cluster bracelets and necklaces, beautiful swallow and dragonfly designs, and dozens of pairs of earrings. Her range of pendants are gorgeous too, fitted with oversized charms like moving coy-fish, sweet Russian babushka dolls and kissing doves.
The pretty, girlier pieces are offset with a collection of funky modern and retro brooches, from robots to unicorns to pink plastic elephants. Needless to say, there's something for everyone. Best of all, Chrissa Alexion is more than affordable, and her designs can be mixed and matched according to your taste. Check her out at the Valley Markets, or from selected Brisbane boutiques.
