More than just your average bakery, the Bulimba Bakery offers speciality breads, deluxe sweet treats, gourmet sandwiches, Di Bella coffee and organic softdrinks. Yep, it's all pumpkin sourdough this and French macaroon that. The best cupcakes are the old-school, simply-iced butter cake style - however there are also the coma-inducing, whole candy-store stuck on top ones for a very special treat.
Locals who come religiously are on a first name basis, however most of the time they just get pissed off with the hoards of people elbowing in line to order their kid a cupcake. Patience is indeed a virtue, and the goods at Bulimba Bakery are indeed worth the wait and perhaps even the journey... just be careful not to step on anyones toes.
