Sarah Blasko would have to one of Australia's most successful female singer-songwriters. What's surprising is that she is still so well liked despite her magnitude of success (you know, even though she's hugely popular she hasn't sold out and the people who first loved her, still do). Even this, her third album, Sarah still has it; that nuance between sorrow and joy, mystery and honesty and of course, that unassuming, otherworldly voice.

As Day Follows Night continues Sarah's trend of making divinely unpretentious music. The first single off the album, ‘All I Want' is tale of a heartbroken woman looking to find herself; the ode is haunts as it's country timbres hover like shadows.
‘No Turning Back' turns up the tempo. Firm drums and keys give the track gushes of staying power. The film clip is pretty darn cute too.

As for the other ten tracks on the album, we shall have to wait a few more sleeps as they are yet to be released. What's particularly cool is you can pre-order yourself a limited edition of the album that also includes a second disc of Sarah performing renditions of some of her favourite film tunes from Annie Hall, The Sound Of Music, Cabaret, Fame and Xanadu. This little package of specialness also includes a tiny paintbrush and some magic ink reveal cards which will no doubt take you back to your childhood. There are only 1000 of these in the whole wide world and we know how much you like to have something the other kids don't, so hurry.
