Absolutely Fabulous is just one of the hidden treasures tucked away along the New Farm end of Brunswick Street. Just a short stroll down from the Alibi Room, you'll find a haven of trinkets and quirky goodies, including stacks of finger-monster puppets (you know, the type that were all the rage in grade three). Not to mention a cat pencil sharpener that sharpens by inserting said pencil into said cat’s rear – what’s more it’s got sound! (you guessed it - a whole lot of meowing).

There is also an irresistible range of vintage and novelty shower caps – including pandas, kitties, pink poodles and green frogs. For those of you with more mature taste, the store also offers plenty of ceramics, jewellery, cards, gift-paper, handmade bags, and personally sourced vintage ornaments. Best of all, there is even a tiny doe-eyed dog – one that suspiciously resembles Paris Hilton's now-redundant handbag, Tinkerbell. Unfortunately, she's not for sale.
