Description:
Many see the word “orchestra” and automatically switch off, based on a stigma founded on the classical traditions of the ensemble. However, across the world orchestral groups are continually pushing the boundaries of what true orchestra is, and now one such group has developed a performance which is truly worthy of praise. The X-Collective are a cabaret group operating within The Queensland Orchestra, and the group is presenting their Pick a Box performance, during which the audience can interact with the performers and pick the program to be presented. The ensemble will perform an eclectic array of music ranging from classical, rock, funk, jazz and a variety of styles in between, mixing comedic pieces with song and an all-round floor show, which guarantees that you will be entertained for the whole two-and-a-half hours.
