Description:
We all know French films are the best films, yeah? Well, okay, it's only because of their sexy accents that they seem to fare better with the cool kids than English films do. In saying that however, there are always talented Gallic directors popping up all over the place who make genuinely great films, and this event is held to highlight some of those standouts in French cinema.
Cedric Klapisch, who you may know as the director of The Spanish Apartment and Russian Dolls, will have his hugely anticipated new film Paris screened as part of opening night celebrations. The film will be followed by an after-party where you can surely hob-nob with some like-minded film buffs and discuss the rest of the event, which runs until March 30, during which 38 films will be screened, 36 of which are making their Australian premiere.
