When was the last time you went to a party in a soup kitchen, where the bands played in the kitchen, the bands' names started with a derivation of the word soup (aka supe), you bought your own esky onto church grounds, the gig was filmed as part of a guerilla TV show pilot and when you left you were given a cup of soup to warm you as you head off into the night?

Served up with soup by Sassafras will be delectable entertainment from super boring Melbournites The Super Fun Happy Band, the enticingly eclectic SuperEngine from West-Side-Australia and some local bands that have lots of friends to make the party look a tiny bit more popular then it actually is. There'll be members of local scene DJ-ing in between sets: Will from Wind & Brackets, Grant from The Art of the State and Wolvie Trash plus random drop ins. Witness yourself their minimally skilful DJ abilities but marvel at the crowd of attractive groupies they bring with them.

Supper serves up a BYO party to salute the outgoing summer, warm the coffers and fill the ears with something arguably worth hearing.
