After a 13 year wait for Modest Mouse to tour Australia last year, fans were justifiably pleased with their decision, and pleased even more so with their subsequent performances. Returning to play V Festival, the Washington demigods will have support from Canadian power poppers Hot Hot Heat whom, despite their not-so-well received last album, will undoubtedly lead the audience into many a sing-along and dance frenzy. And of course, Modest Mouse still has Johnny Marr performing with them, which should be reason enough to attend the show, unless you know of any Smiths reunion anytime soon… Brisbane rarely has a chance to see two acts of this calibre together in the one show, so do NOT miss out on this double bill of alliteration awesomeness.
