Oh, January. If nothing else, this is the month where boring interior design and ‘lifestyle' magazines become filled with smug articles about how to ‘start the year off on a good step' by ‘de-cluttering your home' and doing things like taking polaroids of your expensive designer high heels and glueing them on the front of shoe boxes as, you know, a ‘practical storage solution.' I mean, really?
I maybe kinda sorta used to have a secret fetish for those magazines, but thankfully I stumbled upon The Selby one day. This epic website is run by Todd Selby, an incredible photographer who takes seriously rad photos of artists, designers and creative personalities in their homes and studios.
If you've ever wanted to know what Peaches Geldof's house looked like, now you know. Mark the Cobrasnake is normally behind the lens, but this time him, and his entire house, and his grandfather's house, is in front of it. Not to mention artist Olaf Breuning, musician Bobb Bruno, writer Tom Wolfe, and way too many other amazing people to mention.
