Hey, just because you're the most awesome music photographer in Brisbane and actually pretty much one of the best in Australia doesn't mean you have to take photos of musicians ALL THE TIME. Hey, even though it's all well and good to do photoshoots with people like Nick Cave, Justin Timberlake, Evan Dando, The Dandy Warhols etcetera, sometimes ‘ordinary' people deserve a bit of photographic attention too. The truth of the matter is, sometimes you've just got to leave your car windows and your shutter wide open, leave the band at home, and just hit the dusty road.
In his latest series, photographer Dane Beesley finds himself exploring life on ‘The Road.' Through these black and white photographs, Dane has found some refreshingly ‘real' characters and has lived life through their eyes for a little while. Pardon the terrible pun, but who knew life on the road sans roadies could be so interesting?
