Canvases haven't really been around for a very long time when you actually sit down and think about how long human beings have been making art. The only reason canvas as a painting surface really took off during the Renaissance was because it facilitated easy storage, shipping and handling. How boring.

The eighteen participating artists in the second annual 'Minus Canvas' exhibition at Jugglers Art Space are not concerned with such tedious practicalities. They've taken their artistic talent and gone crazy making art on any surface they can find, which includes bricks, paper, ironing boards, letterboxes, trees, or your little brother. Well actually that was just a guess. All we really know for sure is that this exhibition is going to be awesome.
