It's pronounced Barry! Not Bahree! That's what the organisers of this 10-daylong mega artist-run-initiative showcase will tell you. You might have heard the name Barry being slung around for the past couple of weeks, and people are not talking about Barry Humphries, oh no no no. They're talking about the seven-tiered exhibition that'll be painting the town for the next week and a half.
Semantics aside, BARI isn't just art for arts sake. It's is an Artist Run Initiative from head to toe. Participating ARI's include Nine Lives, Love Love, Jugglers, Flipbook, Old Space, The Fort, and Kiln. They're also holding artist talks and discussions to encourage some dialogue on how artists can take over the world. If you consider yourself a bit of a megalomaniac, multi-personality Barry Humphries type, chuck on your well worn volleys for some comfort and head along to these shows.
