Some people really get a kick out of chaos. They get a secret little tingle of exhilaration when things don't go quite to plan. And they can hardly contain themselves as things come crashing down around someone else. Are you one of these people? We get this:

It's the big day; the wedding day. But trouble is brewing. The bride has cold feet and bailed. The groom is standing at the altar, unaware that the head bridesmaid is in love with him. But her big chance to grab the guy could be foiled by the bride's conniving twin sister who will do anything to make sure the guests don't take back the presents.

A Slightly Sondheim Wedding, the new production from Brisbane-based Oscar Theatre Company, is all punches as it delivers a hilarious take on the 'happiest day of your life'. Be one of the first people in the world to see this matrimonial musical mayhem unfold on stage when it opens at the Judith Wright Centre on Wednesday. There is no need to secretly hope things fall apart at this wedding, this is a sure-fired doozy and you've got a invite to the ceremony.
