I can totally understand photography of a minimalist nature. I like to think of myself as a lazy suburban photographer, capturing such ephemeral moments as the hills hoist slowly spinning, the crow sitting in the tree, the spilt oil at the service station, and the drunk, fluoro-clad teenager at the festival.

But I haven’t exactly climbed onto a whaling ship. I haven’t participated in early climate change protests. And I haven’t instigated an anti-nuclear campaign. But Greenpeace have, and they’ve got thirty years of amazing photographs to prove it.

Greenpeace’s past is colorful and controversial, and this exhibition captures the work of award winning photographers and key images from some of these iconic Greenpeace campaigns. Check it out, because like a Japanese whaling ship attempting to enter Australian waters, it’s not gonna be in town for very long.
